Help and support
Help is what everyone has: one key away, never a page away. Support is what the people who answer have: one desk, their queue, their knowledge. Both are part of the platform, not a second system.
What it is for
- F1, anywhere
- The Help panel opens beside your page and knows where it was opened: "Help with Data Studio", with that app's articles first.
- Help for every app
- Each app has its own help in four parts - what it is for, the first steps, tasks, questions - written by the people who support it.
- Show me
- An article can point at a place in the platform. Press it and the place is opened and lit up for you.
- A person, when an answer is not enough
- A request goes to the team that answers it and is worked from their cartable, with working hours and a clock they answer to.
- The desk
- Queue, saved replies, articles and insights for the teams that support others.
- Answers from what is written
- The assistant answers a question only from help articles the asker may read.
Getting started
- Press F1, or the lifebuoy in the header.
- Read the first answers - they are about the page you are on.
- If they do not help, ask: your request reaches a person.
Tasks
Write help for an app
- Open the Support desk.
- Write an article and choose the app and the part it belongs to.
- Publish it: it appears in that app's help.
Point an article at a place
- In the article, choose Insert a place.
- Pick the place from the list.
- Readers get a Show me that lights it up.
Questions
Is it another ticketing tool to log in to?
No. A request is an item in a cartable, teams are the groups you already have, and answers are found by the platform's search.
