Office Studio

Ask for a document the way you would ask a colleague. The studio writes structured content and the platform renders the file - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Markdown or a diagram - in your organisation's look, ready to edit in the browser.

The eight studios About Office Studio

What it is for

Five kinds of document
Diagrams, Word documents, spreadsheets, slide decks and Markdown, from one thread.
Strategy kits
Seventeen ready kits for strategic planning - a SWOT, an OKR tree and their kin - filled from a one-line brief.
It wears your brand
The organisation's name, colours, footer and confidentiality line come from the brand kit. Nobody pastes a logo.
Edited in the browser
Open the result in a full office editor or a diagram editor inside Divan. Every save is a version.
Right-to-left done properly
Direction is set per paragraph, so a Persian document with English terms reads correctly in Word, not only on screen.
Charts from governed data
Insert a chart from Data Studio: the document shows the numbers its reader is allowed to see.

Getting started

  1. Open Office Studio and choose New document.
  2. Pick the kind, or a kit, and say what the document is about.
  3. Read the preview; ask for changes in the thread or open it in the editor.

Tasks

Make a diagram from a kit

  1. Choose New document, then a kit.
  2. Give the brief in one line.
  3. The kit is filled and laid out; open the diagram editor to adjust it.

Roll back to an earlier version

  1. Open the document's versions.
  2. Open the one you want and check it.
  3. Roll back to it.

Questions

Are the files real Office files?

Yes. A document is a .docx, a sheet an .xlsx, a deck a .pptx - they download and open in any office suite.

Where does the editor run?

On your own server, like the rest of the platform.
