Messenger
Channels and direct messages with threads, reactions, mentions and read receipts - and a search that reads every message. The assistant can be switched on inside any conversation, and an agent can be a member of one.
What it is for
- Channels, direct messages, threads
- Talk to a team, to one person, or under one message. Replies stay with what they answer.
- Full-text search
- Every message is indexed on your own server. Find a sentence from last spring in the time it takes to type it.
- Mixed scripts, read right
- A message in Persian with an English product name inside it is laid out the way a reader expects - direction is decided per message, per paragraph.
- The assistant, in the conversation
- Switch the assistant on in a chat and it answers there, with the tools you allow. An agent with an account of its own can be added like a colleague.
- Calls from the chat
- Start a call from any conversation: video, screen sharing, recording. The meeting and its chat are one room.
Getting started
- Open Messenger from the rail.
- Pick a conversation, or start one with a person or a team.
- Write. Mention someone with @ to bring them in.
Tasks
Answer in a thread
- Point at the message.
- Choose Reply in thread.
- The replies stay under it; the channel stays readable.
Find an old message
- Open search in Messenger.
- Type the words you remember.
- Open a result: the conversation scrolls to it.
Bring the assistant in
- Open the conversation's menu.
- Switch the assistant on.
- Ask in the chat; it answers there and says which tools it used.
Questions
Where are my messages stored?
On your own server, in your own database. The search index and the call routing run there too.
Is there a desktop app?
Yes. A small Windows client is available today; the web app also installs as an app and sends notifications.
